Spooky Fall Cottage Styled Front Porch
Share
Transitioning your porch fall décor to your Halloween décor doesn't have to be difficult or extravagant. I love using statement pieces of décor- these pieces bring a lot to the space without going overboard or spending a lot of money. For fall, I love using ferns, mums & pumpkins to decorate our porch- these are also great when transitioning to Halloween décor. Here in eastern NC, thankfully, I'm able to still decorate with ferns & other summer plants through the fall- typically until the first frost. Be sure to chose planters that bring character & texture to your space- this is another way to decorate your space. Using eye pleasing planters is a tip that you can use every season when decorating your porch.
I love choosing pumpkins that bring texture to the space too- funky gourd like bumpy pumpkins are so cozy on a front porch & another way to bring a little something extra to your space. To transition from fall to Halloween in a simple way- add Jack O' Lanterns! These are my favorite from Kirklands, you can find them (here). They are battery operated & on a timer so you don't have to worry about turning them off/on every evening.
I love the way they look lit up at night!
Little witches hats are also a fun front porch addition. You can place them on chairs, on top of pumpkins... another classic way to bring a touch of Halloween to your fall front porch.
You can find the witches hats from Amazon (here).
Remember, decorating doesn't have to be extravagant to make a big statement & feel cozy. Be sure to add pieces of décor that you can use season after season. Just because it's a new season to decorate- it doesn't mean you have to buy new décor year after year. Always chose functional pieces that can bring you joy for many years to come! Happy decorating friend!
