I know I said that I wasn't going to start decorating & sharing fall inspo with you until after Labor Day weekend this year BUT... I did a little fall décor shopping this week & couldn't help myself & I couldn't wait to share a few of my finds a little early with you. I did quite a bit of shopping between Kirklands, Hobby Lobby & HomeGoods but the finds that I'm sharing with you today are all from Hobby Lobby... & they were all on sale too- 50% off, which is a total WIN in my book. I also started going through my décor shed this week & taking note of what I already have for the fall season. I'm going for a more simple & neutral but moody fall aesthetic... at least for now, but be sure to follow me on Insta (krystlemarienickels) to stay up to date on all of my fall décor refreshes throughout the season.
When I found these little fall trees at Hobby Lobby this week... it was love at first sight & I bought two of them to bring home. I'll be showing many ways to style your home with these adorable little trees but here's how I have it styled in our home for now. I love the texture from the wicker basket- you could even lay a small throw blanket inside of this to bring a little extra touch of cozy. It would also look amazing as a simple dining table centerpiece- you can place this tree inside of a basket or terracotta pot. It does come in a small black pot but I like to dress it up a little more to match my styling. The tree is regularly priced at $59.99 but was 50% off when I was out shopping. If you're looking to add a piece of fall décor to your home that will last you through fall, Halloween & Thanksgiving... this is THE ONE! I couldn't find it online to link for you so here is the tag details that you can take with you to your local Hobby Lobby- I found them in the fall section.
Another fun little Hobby Lobby find were these gold ceramic acorns. They also come in silver & bronze but I love the look of the gold ones a little more for our home. They were on sale for $3.99 each at the time- I purchased 4 of them. They are a great accent piece & you can use them right up through Thanksgiving too! I love versatile décor pieces... I'll share more ways to use these in your home throughout the season too. You can find them on their website (here). I also found this beautiful, tall antique metal lantern- I caught it on a 50% off sale too. It is GORGEOUS & can be used as a lantern or a terrarium. You can find it (here).
The farm fresh autumn harvest sign was such an adorable little addition to our mantel. It is a medium sized sign that would be perfect to style on your porch too - I would just be sure to keep it out of the weather. The orange bronze color is so rich & cozy & it compliments gold accents wonderfully too. The sign is currently out of stock online but you can find it (here) along with the item number to take to your local Hobby Lobby.
Another question I get often is about my fall fig leaf stems. These particular ones I purchased last year from a shop on Etsy, you can find them (here) - they sell out FAST so be sure to order now. I did a preorder in my shop, Nickels Creek Mercantile, for similar ones; however, they are all sold out for the season. They are AMAZING! You seriously can't go wrong with these stems. I have used 3 of them here on our mantel. I love a fuller look, so I stack several of them on top of each other. You can easily shape them as well, which is a big PLUS when decorating. The Swiss Cross pillow is from my shop & can be purchased (here) - it includes the cover & pillow insert as well. It measures 20"x20" & you can easily switch out the cover too, another versatile home décor addition.
Of course, I love adding candlesticks & taper candles- they are beautiful & cozy all year long. I love using wax candles & creating my own drippy candle look but you can also use battery operated taper candles too.
Throughout each season when decorating- the most important thing to remember is to decorate your home in a way that you love & that brings you joy, cozy moments & memories. I can't wait to share more with you but I hope this brings a little early inspo to your heart before you starting decorating for fall. Cheers friends!
