For Thanksgiving, I wanted to do something a little fun with our charcuterie board. I decided to bake some homemade bread & several different flavored homemade whipped butters. This was a super easy "homemade DIY" - it only took me about 30 minutes total from start to finish. I made: garlic parmesan whipped butter, cranberry honey whipped butter & cinnamon honey whipped butter. I used mini Ball mason jars to store the butters. Take a look at my simple recipes below:
TIP: I used three sticks of unsalted, room temperature butter & whipped them all together. It will only take a few minutes with a hand held mixer. I then separate the butter into 3 equal parts & put them each in a bowl to make each of the different flavors.
Garlic Parmesan Whipped Butter:
- 1/2 cup (one full stick) butter - I used unsalted - at room temperature
- freshly grated parmesan cheese, approx. 2 tablespoons
- Italian seasoning, I didn't measure but I did a few good shakes
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 clove minced garlic
Cinnamon Honey Whipped Butter:
- 1/2 cup (one full stick) butter - I used unsalted - at room temperature
- 2 - 2 1/2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon, I used a little extra but this is to preference
Cranberry Whipped Butter:
- 1/2 cup (one full stick) butter - I used unsalted - at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons jellied cranberry sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
These work great as little gifts with homemade bread as well for your co-workers & neighbors. I hope this brings a little fun to your holiday season!
